PDF to Text

Extract the text from a PDF and save it as a plain text file.

Language note: if a Bengali (or other non-English) PDF converts into broken or gibberish text, the source PDF itself probably uses an old non-Unicode font (for example SutonnyMJ), where the letters are stored as Latin codes that only look like Bengali. No converter can read those correctly. Re-export the PDF with a Unicode font (Noto Sans Bengali, SolaimanLipi or Hind Siliguri) and convert again — then the text comes out correctly.

How it works

  2. Click Extract Text.
  3. Download the .txt file with the extracted text.

Text-based PDFs only — unless you tick the OCR box, which reads scanned picture pages as images (Bengali + English).
